A good effort, but mistakes are in abundance. Also badly labeled pictures that neglect to name item or tool used. It is a Lewis lead remover. People might like to know what the tool was, that was used to clean the revolver.

Guide to Firearm Repair and Improvement edition by Steve Franklin Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks Reviews

This incredible resource has helped me on multiple occasions and I find myself returning to it on a weekly basis. Being an avid gun collector and hunter, this book is perfect for me. It showed me how to properly clean and maintain my rifles and included many other helpful tips. It’s also good if you are into do-it-yourself gunsmithing or metal work. I’m glad to have this one in my collection.
It's rare to find a book of this quality for such a low price. It's well written and easy to understand. While I haven't made it through the entire book, it has some great instructions for cleaning firearms that has proven useful. Friends often ask me to help clean their weapons and I can now refer them to this. I look forward to discovering more.
This book is unreadable due to a poor conversion to electronic formatting. For example, every apostrophe is now a blank space. Headers and captions mix with the text. Photos are poorly sized and text flows awkwardly around them. Captions appear without photos, or sometimes, pages away from the photo they are supposed to describe. Sections of text are simply missing.

Worse than that, this is a copy of an old book. Photos, presumably of the author, have a gunsmith who looks like Mario from the original Nintendo Mario Brothers, complete with sideburns and bushy mustache. The style died in thew 1970's. Photos depict clothing from the mid nineteenth century and descriptions of tools and firearms are decades behind current technology. The military pistol is described as the .45 Colt, which was replaced by The 9mm Beretta 92f in 1985.

Lacking a table of contents, it's impossible to figure out what is in this book or whether the information is valid. No copyright date is shown and I can't find an original reference, but other books by the same author, digitally published on the same date, show the same pattern. At best, it's a mid 1970's to early 1980's book, though likely earlier for original publication. There are far better, and more current, works out there.
This book I got for my brother and he had learned. A lot from this book I would recommend it to anyone interested in guns.
What more do you want? I certainly can't let a deal like this go. If you have ANY firearms, or interest in them, check it out.n I mean it's FREE. DUUUUUUUÚH!
This digital version is difficult to read. Photo captions are mixed in with the text rather randomly and in the same font.
Several books have come out like this one/ They all share the same problem...wen I look at the table of contents; there is nothing ere. Maybe its just a "kindle bug." but neither is there an index. The pages of information is great but if you can't find that you need who cares?
A good effort, but mistakes are in abundance. Also badly labeled pictures that neglect to name item or tool used. It is a Lewis lead remover. People might like to know what the tool was, that was used to clean the revolver.
